Sweet friends, it has been so long. Just to be completely honest – moving is HARD. Moving with 3 children is even harder. Especially when one happens to be a preteen with emotions, friends and attachments to the place you left. It has been 20 very long months since we left the Charlotte area. 20 months of some amazing highs like getting to be so much closer to our family and back in the mountains of East Tennessee. But also 20 months of some pretty low lows of missing our sweet friends, our church, our home we had made, a city we grew to love, my thriving business. It was just a LOT to process.

All that said, we are {knock on wood} finally in a solid place. We’ve stopped focusing on ourselves and OUR woes and are ready to look outward and serve those around us. By God’s amazing grace, our oldest has found his place and is thriving again. Our middle couldn’t be happier. And our toddler is a ball of fun.

So, where does that leave Lora Lynch Photography? If you’ve followed my work at all, you know that the true heartbeat of Lora Lynch Photography is newborns and babies. It is my sweet spot, if you will. I’m the most comfortable coming into your life and meeting your new family right where you are. I love a good wedding. Don’t get me wrong. And I will shoot one if it comes my way. But I thrive meeting people in their first days of parenthood. Loving on the newest member of their family. In their home. Relaxed. That is where I am going to choose to focus my time.

Going forward, I will be offering Fresh 48, maternity, newborn and first year photos. I love being a witness to those amazing milestones and would love for you to consider working with me. If you aren’t in that season of your life, I would love your recommendation to your friends, coworkers, family. I will still offer Fall Mini-sessions for families – no worries there!

Thank you so much for your patience, friends. I’m so excited to get back behind my camera doing what I love! ❤

{Chattanooga, TN} Engagement Photography

While I have a tendency to only post on Facebook these days, something about this beautiful engagement session at Howe Farms just outside of Chattanooga gave me the urge to blog!

I met Tiffany in the fall when searching for a new hair girl after our move. Not only does she do great hair (ha!), she has a fantastic personality! When she asked me to shoot her November wedding, I was all in!

The farm was the perfect backdrop for these love birds. They are so great for each other – their laughter is contagious!

Brian, Jen and Liam were so much fun to work with! Liam is a total ham and, other than being cold, loved his session in Freedom Park! The leaves are just beginning to turn and gave us the perfect glow.

Guys, I hope you enjoy your photos! Can’t wait to work with you again as you welcome a sweet baby girl to your family!

What a difference a year makes! It seems like yesterday, I was shooting Heather and Derek’s Uptown Charlotte Wedding! This week, I was so blessed to capture them as glowing parents-to-be! They will be welcoming a beautiful baby boy in the next few weeks and I can’t wait to meet him!

Heather + Derek, thank you so much for letting me document these huge milestones in your lives! This is going to be one adorable, lucky boy!! 🙂
