So, I will be completely honest right now. When Heather and Derek told me their Charlotte, NC wedding was going to be at the Marriott Center City, I think I almost squealed with excitement! I have a new love of Uptown and couldn’t wait to be right in the middle of it! The new Mr. and Mrs. just happen to be my sweet neighbors and I couldn’t wait to share their day with them!
Derek & Heather, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! I have had so much fun getting to know both of you and wish you a lifetime of health, wealth and happiness!

Please bear with me, friends, while Lora Lynch Photography gets a new look to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!!
I have been so excited to post about this wedding since I first went through the images for the sneak peek. When I first received the e-mail from Karen asking me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t wait to travel to Summerville to the Woodlands Inn. Stephen and Karen were a photographer’s DREAM! Their wedding was perfectly intimate, fun (as you will see from the reception photos!) and warm. Everyone in both their families was amazing and they couldn’t have been more gracious!
I was excited to get there early for some getting ready shots!
When Karen told me they wanted to see each other before the wedding, I was so excited to get to capture that moment! It was such an amazing time. I know they will cherish those first few minutes together.
After the ceremony, Stephen, Karen and I walked around the grounds of the fabulous Woodlands Inn for some photos of the two of them together.
And then we were off to the reception. Friends, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this reception. Not because it was over the top. Not because of the gorgeous flowers or delicious cake. But because every single face I saw when I looked around the room was having FUN. I can only image this reception completely met or far exceeded the bride and groom’s expectations! I’m only going to post a few from the reception because I want Stephen and Karen to relive those memories as they look at the images together. But this says it all:
Stephen and Karen, I thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your day. I hope you will cherish your photographs for many, many years to come. I wish you health and happiness in your new adventures together!
This session was so special to me! There are so many locations in and around Charlotte that anyone could choose, but it was so neat that McCall chose a spot that meant so much to her! She (and her entire family) grew up going to “camp” with her church. The cabin has been in her family for generations!
First, with her sisters…
Thanks so much, McCall, for letting me capture your senior photos! I wish you much success as you venture off to college in the fall!
These dolls are all my family! My two little boys and my 3 nieces. We like to do their pictures once a year for my mother so we can watch them grow!
Thank you so much to all who participated! You are going to love, love, love your frame!! Now, on to the fun…
Pardon this photo quality. I used my cell, then quickly decided to spring for the camera.
This was a highly scientific process thought of by yours truly. 😉
(Isn’t this cute? A sweet, sweet friend used them for party favor’s for her son’s 1st birthday – I quickly repurposed it to a pen/pencil holder on my desk!)
Step 5!! Congratulations!!
